“One element that I really loved while working on this film was writing the credit music, which was very different from the rest of the score. Patrick, the director, said he wanted an old-timey bluegrass song. A couple days later I had written and recorded banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass, fiddle and a vocal track and sent it to him. I will never forget his response.
‘What! This is you?!’”
